BetMGM announced today new efficiencies for its reward points program with clients now being able to see points accrued in one state in their accounts when they travel to another state.
Now, BetMGM rewards points will be viewable in a single digit wallet instead of on a state-by-state wallet basis.
Streamlining BetMGM Rewards Points into a single account is the next phase of BetMGM’s single, digital wallet. With single account, users have one set of login credentials and account settings, along with a single cash balance accessible in all states where BetMGM is available,” according to a statement from the operator.
The new efficiencies in the BetMGM loyalty program aren’t yet applicable for Ontario, Canada and Puerto Rico. BetMGM, which is a 50/50 joint venture of Entain and MGM Resorts International, does business in 29 North American jurisdictions.
BetMGM News Follows Wallet Streamlining
News of the more efficient rewards points/wallet effort arrived just three months after BetMGM said the digital wallets used by bettors were made transferrable across state lines. Now, clients that sign up for a BetMGM account in Las Vegas can use the same account in the other states in which the operator offers iGaming and sports wagering services.
For example, a bettor that signs up for a BetMGM account at one of MGM Resorts International’s Las Vegas Strip casinos can use that account when traveling to Arizona, Louisiana, Michigan, Ontario, Canada, or the other areas in which BetMGM is licensed to accept sports wagers.
“Through operation and partnership with MGM Resorts, this innovative feature makes BetMGM the only legalized sports betting app that allows Nevada residents and visitors to wager in the state and carry their funds to BetMGM mobile markets across the United States,” added the operator in the press release.
BetMGM was the first multi-state operator that linked its iGaming/sports betting platforms into a single digital wallet.
Another Enhancement for BetMGM Rewards
BetMGM is already tied to the popular MGM Rewards program, and like other online sportsbooks operated by land-based casino companies, that relationship allows clients to earn points that can be redeemed at MGM’s domestic properties.
The operator’s move to bring its rewards program into a single digital wallet extends its tradition of innovation, including a relationship with Marriott Bonvoy, could be appreciated by points-enthused clients, many of whom like to track loyalty progress in real time.
“The BetMGM Rewards Program showcases our key differentiators — omnichannel play, the iconic hospitality and MGM Resorts International’s entertainment, and partnerships including our alliance with Marriott Bonvoy. With every bet at the sportsbook and spin of the slot you are earning rewards that can be used online or in-person,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt in the statement.
