Gaming manufacturers donate essential protective equipment to Spanish health services

In Spain, gaming manufacturers are supporting their local communities by donating much needed protective equipment during the coronavirus pandemic.

e-gaming Spain, a subsidiary of the Czech Republic-based VLT, interactive and slot games supplier, has donated 10,000 sanitary protective glasses to be used by health personnel, national and municipal police officers, the civil guard, and firefighters.

Meanwhile, Spanish gaming firm R. Franco Group has donated 13,000 reusable masks to help support Spain’s ongoing fight against Covid-19.

The company is planning further donations to the temporary hospital which has opened at IFEMA, Madrid’s equivalent to Excel London; along with the Military Emergencies Unit; as well as several units of the police and residences for the elderly.

“Never has it been more important for us as an industry to step up and help our country and people through these difficult and painful weeks,” said Jesus Franco, President of the R. Franco Group.

“As the pandemic continues to hit companies, families and communities across Spain, the R. Franco Group is here to do all we can to contribute and show our solidarity across all sectors.

With more donations set to follow, we offer our support with the confidence that we will all come out of this together stronger than before.”
